White Forest: A Neo-Classical British Style Residential Apartment

Elevating Elegance and Feng Shui

The White Forest residential apartment, designed by Alen Lo, seamlessly combines the elegance of neo-classical British style with careful attention to Feng Shui principles. This unique design showcases the owner's love for the British aesthetic and creates a space that exudes respect, love, and a gentleman-like temperament.

The standout feature of the White Forest apartment is the meticulous use of British molding techniques. The molding extends from the back wall of the sofa to the ceiling, creating a visually stunning skyline and a sense of grandeur. The ceiling itself is adorned with large molds combined with fading-colored titanium plates, evoking a vintage style and supporting the delicately carved ceiling design.

To define the living room and dining room areas, a screen with a laser-carved pattern is used. This screen can be pulled out from the wall, adding a touch of versatility to the space. Not only does it serve a functional purpose, but it also adds to the overall elegance of the design.

Feng Shui considerations were paramount in the design of the White Forest apartment. To address any potential Feng Shui issues, a carved screen separates the public areas, ensuring a harmonious flow of energy. Additionally, the bedroom spaces were carefully designed to avoid facing mirrors, and sliding and folding doors were added to the TV walls to prevent reflections, thus meeting both aesthetic and Feng Shui requirements.

The design also incorporates the use of fine titanium plating with a fading and matte texture, adding a touch of golden elegance without appearing extravagant. This blending of vintage and modern styles creates a harmonious coexistence, reflecting the owner's refined taste.

The dining room features a stylish cabinet with two levels of storage, separated by a marble insert. This design choice not only adds a British texture to the space but also provides practical storage solutions, showcasing the seamless integration of functionality and aesthetics.

One of the key aspects of the White Forest apartment is the interaction between different areas. Instead of traditional partition walls, a movable screen with a carved pattern creates a dynamic interaction between the living room and dining room. This allows for the observation of movement and activity between the two spaces, fostering a sense of connection and unity within the family.

The design of the White Forest apartment presented a unique challenge of integrating the oriental principles of Feng Shui with the British classical style. However, Alen Lo successfully overcame this challenge by carefully considering the placement of elements and incorporating the British molds and workmanship to create an elegant and harmonious space.

The White Forest residential apartment, with its neo-classical British style and meticulous attention to Feng Shui, is a testament to Alen Lo's design expertise. This design has been recognized and awarded the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2021, highlighting its practicality, innovation, and adherence to professional and industrial standards. The White Forest apartment is not only a beautiful living space but also a reflection of the designer's commitment to creating a better world through thoughtful and exceptional design.
